Neither Perceval Press nor Mr. Mortensen has any financial interest in, or any direct or indirect affiliation of any kind to any site other than this one. Perhaps these rumours spring from some undefined resentment on the part of an individual or individuals over the fact that Mr. Mortensen has twice previously given answers via e-mail to questions sent by one particular site, and over these answers being posted on that site. It is unfortunate that the simple courtesy of answering these requests has been turned against him and, by extension, against Perceval Press in the form of unfounded allegations of media manipulation. From now on he will not grant any more interviews or answers of any kind to any "fan-site" so as to avoid these unwarranted accusations. As has always been the case since Perceval Press was founded in 2002, Mr. Mortensen, as editor, has been and will continue to be responsible for the news items, recommendations of books, music, movies, listing of exhibitions, the odd editorial statement, and whatever might be deemed appropriate for posting on this site. As has also always been the case, these postings, regardless of whatever reaction or conjecture they might provoke, are not meant to be taken as an invitation to anyone to establish communication with Mr. Mortensen. The postings that he assumes responsibility for constitute one-way communication, take it or leave it, love it or hate it. We will continue to do our very best to attend to our customers and their reasonable queries as regards the quality and availability of our books, Cds, and DVDs.
